Do You Need a Compliment?

I don't know about you, but praise goes a long way with me, and I don't think it's just a millennial thing. Getting a compliment that really registers is a great feeling. And what if you could give that feeling to yourself? Hear me out...

Think of something that would be *so nice* if someone noticed today. Maybe you've been putting extra effort into a certain part of life lately or just feeling excited about a hobby or quality you have. Instead of waiting for someone to notice, focus on the compliment you'd like to receive and turn it into an affirmation for yourself.

So instead of someone telling you "Wow, your TPS reports look really great this week. I can tell you worked hard," the self-version of this compliment would sound like, "I am proud of how hard I worked on my TPS reports. I am smart, determined, and a hard worker."

Praising yourself feels really good - are you ready to give it a try?
