Goals > Regrets

Thinking back on last year, it’s only natural we all have some regrets. Things we wish we had done, words we wish we could take back, or paths that we need to change.

Instead of focusing on that regret and letting it grow into shame, resentment, or dismay, try this gentle reframe...

🔹Acknowledge that it's natural to have some regrets and things you wish you'd done differently from time to time, especially around the end of the year
🔹These thoughts can get uncomfortable and unhelpful
🔹To shift into more useful momentum, try reframing regrets as goals
🔹Instead of focusing on the past, turn your attention to making plans and intentions for the future
🔹For each regret, try to shift your mindset into what you'd like to do differently in 2022
🔹Write down the main goal itself and then come up with small action steps to help you achieve it
🔹Set yourself up with both big picture and specific ideas about what you'd like to do and experience next year!

What are your goals for 2022?
